Nail Polish Collection Obsession

Once upon a time -  two or three months ago I had a small collection of nail polish. By small I mean around 20 bottles or so & mostly hot pink. Then one day I decided to search the internet for info on nail art. To make a long story short, I ended up finding & reading nail polish blogs. Much to my surprise I read about so many new nail polish brands & colors that I had never seen or heard of before. There were pictures of colors that changed colors(duo chromes) & colors that had holographic properties.  There were glitters & flakies & animals too (lemmings & unicorn pee come to mind)Who knew? Not to mention something called Konad & a BundleMonster! My head was spinning, there was so much ground to cover & research to do. I just HAD to find out how to obtain these lovely lady lacquers....

Fast forward to the present....In just 2 1/2 months my collection has grown to 208 bottles of polish. Besides the hot pink, I now have a myriad of colors, glitters & flakies, along with duo- chromes & holos' too. But, it hasn't been easy you see. I live in a rural area & the closest stores are 10-15 miles away. The nearest Wal*Mart is so small compared to what city folks are used to. The nearest Target is 40 miles away & Walgreens 35miles. Believe it or not, it's even difficult to find the newest OPI. Fortunately, I've been able to find much of my hoard online. With the price of gas, in most cases it's way cheaper for me to pay shipping & handling and have them delivered to my door. But there are those times when I'm able to go out of town for Dr's appts now & then and I'm able to go to a Sally's or a Walgreens & actually get to see the items before I buy them. That's the most fun of all.

Yes, I continue to read nail polish blogs. It's part of my busy daily routine. I continue to be inspired by the creativity of others & come up with a few things on my own. Soon I hope to be posting pics of my polish. I'm no youngster (lol) & I'm challenged when it comes to figuring out gadgets. But as soon as I do look out! Anyway, I thought this would be a fun way to chronicle my nail polish adventures.

  5. Welcome to the nail-blogging world! This was a great story. It reminded me how I started blogging in August of last year after I spent a summer hoarding wayyy too many polishes. It seems like you have quite the stash too! I just love all the colors, brands, designs, ideas out there with nail polish. I look forward to seeing what you've got to share :)
